Paving renovations & re-pointing.

If you have an ageing patio or paved area which is looking past its best, it is not always necessary to replace the paving altogether. If sympathetically done, a renovated & re-pointed patio can enhance any traditional style garden, particularly if the existing natural stone has weathered well & gained an authentic ‘York stone’ appearance.

We can advise on any existing paved area & whether it would be suitable for renovation or re-pointing.

This Indian sandstone circle was carefully cleaned off, taking care not to remove the inhereted patina, the old pointing was ground out & then the whole area was re-pointed.

Cobbled areas can be renovated to achieve a traditional authentic look.

This existing cobbled stable yard was cleaned off & the cobblestones lifted, the sub-base was reinstated & the surface re-laid using reclaimed river cobbles to replace missing or broken cobblestones & to expand the existing cobble surface area, the whole area was then re-pointed.

This existing Indian Sandstone patio was carefully lifted & removed, the sub-base was re-instated & the paving re-laid in a more traditional ‘running bond’ pattern.

The surface of this particular paving was left in its ’weathered’ state to retain the heritage look.

The resin based pointing compound enhanced the surface of the paving.
